On 13th November, RPRE, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, and the B Market Builder Singapore, hosted a B Corp Community event at RPRE’s office. The venue was selected as it was where RPRE and Ben and Jerry’s are based. LEVEL3 Singapore is a co-working innovation eco-system focusing on Sustainable Growth Technology, and is also part of The Unilever Foundry.
The event also celebrated RPRE’s recent B Corp Certification in Sept 2019 and we are very proud to be Singapore’s 10th B Corp.
Certified B Corporations® (B Corps) are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. As of today, there are more than 3,100 B Corps in 150 industries and 71 countries around the world.
Caroline Seow, Head of Sustainability at Family Business Network International opened the evening with a presentation on B Corp and Sarah Cragg, Social Mission Advocacy Manager at Ben & Jerry’s, shared with us the history of Ben and Jerry's, and the impact and benefits of being a B Corp. Robin Pho, CEO, and Founder of RPRE shared RPRE’s journey on attaining the B Corp status and how the business aligns purpose with profit. RPRE was founded from an INSEAD startup bootcamp and also believes that businesses can be a force for good.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session from aspiring B Corp organizations in the audience. RPRE is honored to be part of the global B Corp community and we look forward to putting purpose into profit and focusing on a triple bottom line.
